Chicago born, LA based Ferrari Sheppard's large canvases exude a timelessness that is both nostalgic and beguiling. I loved his use of gold, as I did his compelling palette, especially the pinks. Somewhere between reality and dream, Sheppard's contemplative gaze took me on a brief journey through moments of humanity of great intensity and tenderness.
